Chris Barrow takes on London Marathon and Kilimanjaro...
Practice Plan has worked alongside the renowned speaker Chris Barrow for a number of years now, he fronted our 2010 Workshop Tour and we are looking forward to having him with us at some of our 2011 events.
We’re not the only ones who have a special bond with Chris though, so too do our other close friends at Bridge2Aid. Chris and his partner Annie are long standing supporters of the dental charity who provide care and education to the people of Tanzania. Chris invests his time helping with the overall strategy and planning for the charity, while Annie works for them as an events manager and can regularly be seen manning the stands at dental conferences.
But, Chris and Annie are now set to extend their help even further by not only running the excruciating 26 miles of the London marathon, but by also climbing to an altitude of 5895 meters up Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro!
Chris explained, “Running the 2011 London Marathon will be a challenge for me after a five year gap in my training programme due to distractions and injury, but I could not have a better excuse to get fit than to support the B2A team and the wonderful work they do.”
Chris and Annie have an ambitious target of £10,000 to raise for both ventures, so if you would like to sponsor them please visit
www.justgiving.com/coachbarrow and they’d be delighted for any donation, big or small.
