Here at Practice Plan, we believe that a happy, healthy team is key to a thriving workplace. That’s why we’re always looking for new ways to support our people’s wellbeing.
To mark International Women’s Day, we were delighted to welcome Tracy Langley, a local energy alignment practitioner from Oswestry, to run two guided meditation sessions for our team. Each 45-minute session was open to everyone in the business, offering a chance to step away from the hustle and bustle of the workday and focus on relaxation and mindfulness.
Tracy guided our team through calming techniques designed to reduce stress, improve focus and promote overall wellbeing. With the theme of International Women’s Day focusing on empowerment, we felt this was a perfect opportunity to encourage self-care, reflection and balance.
Kerrie Hibbert, Head of our Customer Operations team, regularly attends monthly meditation sessions with Tracy and here is what she said about how meditation helps improve her mindfulness and her thoughts on how great it was to have Tracy join us:
“As a busy mum of two working full-time, I really value that hour or so with Tracy for myself to reflect and reset. There’s a group of us who all attend regularly and agree, we benefit at home and at work for making sure we take that time out each month. Prioritising mental wellbeing in the workplace is just as important as supporting professional growth and so we encourage initiatives like this and we look forward to continuing to offer opportunities like this that help our people feel their best.”
Integrating small but meaningful initiatives in your dental practice can support your teams in feeling more resilient, engaged and valued. The fast-paced nature of a dental practice – juggling patient care, tight schedules and team coordination can be mentally and physically demanding. Just like in any workplace, prioritising wellbeing is key to maintaining a positive, productive environment. Whether it’s through guided meditation, wellbeing workshops, or simply encouraging mindful breaks, investing in team wellbeing ultimately leads to better patient care and a stronger, happier workforce.
