Events and Marketing Coordinator, Sarah Whittall, explains why this year’s Practice Management Conferences are a must-attend.
I am really excited to say that June sees the return of our informative and thought-provoking Practice Management Conferences. Taking place on 5th June in Reading and 19th June in Manchester, this year’s conferences feature some amazing, forward-thinking and innovative speakers including Chris Barrow, Simon Tucker, Jane Lelean, Pat Langley and Sally Toon, with topics on the day ranging from marketing through to patient communication, developing a successful practice and compliance.
I have had the pleasure of seeing many of these speakers in action and can tell you that you are in for a real treat! The day promises to be both informative and entertaining and I for one can’t wait to see all these well-known dental faces taking to the stage in one place!
To whet your appetite for the day, I’ve asked a selection of our speakers to share their top tips to give you an idea of the type of insightful information you can expect to take away from the day:
Simon Tucker on selling: ‘Selling is really just a good conversation’
A good conversation can lead to a greater understanding of your patients’ wants and needs and determine how you can help them.
Chris Barrow on marketing: ‘It’s all about emails and permission’
By collecting email addresses and permission, you can establish a long-term relationship with a prospective patient, sometimes for months or years before they actually pick up the phone to book an appointment. This ability to nurture a relationship with a potential patient is priceless!
Jane Lelean on decision making: ‘Once you know your values, every decision is easy’
Practice management teams often don’t have the time to reflect and consider answers to important questions that can often be answered in haste with the consequences suffered at a later date. Decision making is quicker and easier in all areas when you know the four D’s (determine, declare, demonstrate, defend) of a values-based practice.
As an added extra, last year we introduced networking sessions to give delegates the chance to chat and share experiences, issues and best practice. The sessions were a great success and went down a storm! I’m pleased to say they are back again this year and I’m sure will be an invaluable part of the day.
As well as excellent speakers and the networking sessions (if they aren’t reason enough!), why not join us the night before the conferences for a three course meal and bed and breakfast at the hotel as part of our overnight package. You’ll be joining the Practice Plan team and the speakers for a relaxing evening and you’ll also get the chance to get to know the other delegates.
