If you’re planning to visit this year’s British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show at the NEC in Birmingham on 17th and 18th May, we can give you five great reasons why what Practice Plan has on offer should be at the top of your to do and see list.
Great speakers
As ever, we have scheduled a list of sessions in our Dental Business Theatre that promise to be enlightening and entertaining. This year’s theme is ‘Future Focus’ and, as well as some speakers who have joined us in the past such as Sarah Buxton, Ritesh Aggrawal, Chris Barrow and Lucie Simic, we have a host of new voices who will help us cast our minds forwards to suggest how dentistry might look in the coming years.
Our topics this year include AI and the future of dentistry, with first-time panellists Hannah Burrow and Jay Shah, How women are shaping the future of dentistry, with contributions from Farzeela Rupani, Sarah Canavan, Cerise Harriss and Hannah Grieves, as well as The future landscape of practice ownership where Dental Business Theatre newbies, Jonathan Watson and Steve O’Connor of Christie & Co, will join Tom Coates of Buxton Coates Solicitors.
Crouch on the couch
In a change to our usual format, our session on the future of NHS dentistry will take the form of a conversation between Practice Plan Sales and Marketing Director, Nigel Jones, and Chair of the BDA, Eddie Crouch. They’ll draw on their combined 60+ years’ experience of the dental industry to suggest how, if at all, NHS dentistry could survive the current challenges it faces.
Our famous Fizz Bar
Once again, we have incorporated our famous fizz bar into our stand at K50. The highlight of the show for many of our practices, a warm welcome and a chilled glass of something fizzy awaits existing and potential clients. There are also plenty of non-alcoholic alternatives for those who would rather that option.
Whether you come to find out how to join the Practice Plan family, or for a drink and a catch up, we’ll be delighted to see you.
Our friends from Wesleyan
We appreciate that there’s a lot to consider if you’re looking to move away from or reduce your NHS commitment which is why some of our friends from Wesleyan will share the stand with us.
Whatever your concerns about handing back or rebasing your NHS contract in favour of private dentistry, there’ll be Specialist Financial Advisers on hand to offer advice about the things you may need to consider or the best way to go about replacing what you may be giving up. They’ll be only too pleased to help.
Our renowned yellow sunglasses and selfie props
While we are serious about helping our practices to build profitable businesses, we don’t take ourselves too seriously! We’ll have our usual stash of sunglasses, hats, feather boas and other props available for our visitors to use to take selfies when you come to visit our stand.
We have a strong online presence, and we love it when our existing and potential practices get involved too. We’re proud of the relationships we have with our clients and we’re only too pleased to show them off on our social media channels. So, it’s not obligatory that you dig into our prop box and snap a selfie when you come to the stand, but if the mood takes you, feel free!
If you’re interested in catching any of the sessions in the Dental Business Theatre, be sure to consult the programme, as if you miss them, it’s future focus, so there’s no going back!
The Practice Plan team will be on hand at Stand K50 so please feel free to come along and say hello. We’ll be pleased to see you.
